23rd March 2012
We are currently on site at the University of Kent constructing a new music building to connect to the existing Gulbenkian building which will be partly refurbished under the scheme. The music building will be known as the Colyer Fergusson Hall.
On Friday 23rd March the building reached a milestone on its journey to completion and a Topping-Out Ceremony was held to mark the occasion. Some fifty guests attended the event where our site team gave a tour of the new building whilst the student brass band played in the main hall. Following the tour guests were shown up to the roof area where Professor Mander and The Honourable Jonathan Monkton of the Colyer Fergusson Charitable Trust tightened the last nut in the roof structure.
The new building is on programme to complete and handover to the University in August in time for the new academic year.
