Thank you to the National Trust and Crofton Design for their recent editorial in Construction News on our project at Morden Hall Park.
‘There are few contractors with experience of both heritage sites and green technologies’
Caroline Pankhurst, National Trust
R. Durtnell and Sons can boast experience of both heritage and green technologies due to our award winning project at Morden Hall Park’s stable block which is nestled in a Grade II listed property. The refurbished building utilises 22 PV thermal panels, 12 PV panels and 324 solar slates, four rain water harvesting tanks each holding 3,000 litres of water, a wood burning stove which uses sustainably sourced wood from trees in the park, an air source heat pump, 7 different varieties of insulation and triple glazed windows, recycled glass collected in the park has been used in tables and counters in the café and toilets.
