Rye Cinema

Rye Cinema Blue Screen

The project at Rye Cinema consisted of the conversion, development and refurbishment of the existing Old Library to provide a modern digital cinema and community arts centre. The new state-of-the-art cinema now provides two screens, café, kitchen, projection room, stores, offices and art room.

This was a complicated construction project and made even more so by being contained within three listed buildings at the heart of a conservation area in the Citadel of Rye. The main screen has been equipped with 3D technology and both screens have leading-edge sound systems and satellite technology. The stylish café-bar has an outside terrace.
