R. Durtnell and Sons Limited are delighted to be working with Jane Wood, a developer based in Littlehampton who commissioned the highly successful East Beach Café on the Sussex town’s beach.  Her latest venture is a residential development with the conversion of a Victorian workshop unit into a terrace of five waterfront houses at Riverside Wharf in Littlehampton.  The scheme has been designed by John Pardey and will be built by Durtnell’s.

Each house will have a balcony with views of the river Arun, along with secure covered parking and private river moorings.    The existing brick and flint warehouse will be clad in cedar with full glass fronts onto the water.

The issue of flooding has been recognised and the design seeks to address this in innovative and practical ways, while also balancing this risk against the need to regenerate the site in a manner that respects and retains the local character to the conservation area.

More information on the project will be available upon starting work on site.
