Hollymount Primary School in Wimbledon is a contract that we are carrying out in three phases under the London Borough of Merton Framework and is due to complete in July 2012. It is an occupied, tight site with only one entrance and exit for all deliveries. The school is surrounded by residential buildings on all sides, and where possible, noisy and disruptive works have been programmed for school holidays. On completion the project is aiming for a BREEAM Very Good.
- Phase 1: April 2010 – September 2010
This phase was a combination of new build and refurbishment to create a kitchen and plant room.
- Phase 2: September 2010 – February 2012
Construction of a two storey, concrete frame building with an exposed concrete finish internally and Siberian Larch cladding externally. The new building joins the existing school and provides 6 classrooms and toilet facilities.
- Phase 3: July 2011 – July 2012
Refurbishment of the main school and construction of a MUGA.
Here are a few photos at the completion of phase and the new building which allows eh school to become two form entry for each year group.
