29th June 2012
Delivered five weeks ahead of programme and to a delighted client, this design and build scheme for West Sussex County Council has provided Compton and Upmarden School a multipurpose hall connected to the existing school, with kitchen area, PE stores, chair store, office and toilet facilities.
On Saturday 23rd June hundreds of people gathered to watch comedian Hugh Dennis cut the ribbon and welcome guests into the £800,000 new hall at Compton and Upmarden CofE Primary School. It has been some 11 years in the making and the new hall will not only be an asset for the School’s 82 pupils but also for the whole community.
The new Compton Hall complements the traditional Sussex buildings that can be found in the village and flint cladding was used on the wall to match the existing church.
The School has reported back to us that the local community are very impressed with the design of the building and have given only positive feedback to our site team with regards to the overall build process.
