Works encompassed an extensive refurbishment programme providing eight modern boarding houses within existing Grade II listed buildings. Each boarding house contains single, double and four bed study bedrooms, kitchens, TV rooms and quiet rooms. All works were carried out in phases on an occupied campus.
The first four boarding houses were carried out on a traditional basis. Through a close working relationship with the school, the client decided they wanted to proceed with the next four boarding houses on a design and build basis.
In terms of added value we were able to put experience learnt from the first four boarding houses into practice and so saved the school time and money on the final four houses.
