Basing House

The Grange Barn

Our special works team has carried out a number of projects at Basing House, a Scheduled Ancient Monument in Hampshire.

Projects have included repairs and conservation to the ruins of Basing House, the refurbishment of the Grange Barn and the creation of a visitor reception and education centre next to it.

The former stable block was converted into an education / lecture room with visitor toilets. Our most recent project has been the erection and installation of a 15 meter long oak bridge to recreate the entrance route to the back of Basing House to how it was in the Iron Ages.
